An Unexpected New Year

Let me start by saying Happy New Year!!!! I gotta tell ya that this New Year came in like a flood! It started Sunday night. Chris and I keep Kari and Malachi while Ashlee was in OH with her mother. We finally got the kids in the bed and situated around 10pm. I turned on their veggie-tales and put my night mask on and fell into a wonderous sleep. My sleep was short lived when around mid-night Chris woke me up and all I could hear was someone puking. It was Malachi. He threw up all over the bed and Kari's arm and let me just say, "We had a mess!" I grabbed Malachi and put him straight in the tub and Chris got Kari to the couch and threw all the bedding in the washer. Malachi was pasty white and shaking all over (bless his heart) and Kari was crying for her mommy nonstop. I finally got Malachi cleaned up and everyone settled in the living room, hoping to get some sleep. Malachi drifted off, but Kari was still crying every 10 minuets. The only way I could get her to settle down was to call Pappy and have him come get her, and play a matching game while we waited. We played for a while, it was now around 2:30. All a sudden we heard Malachi...... yes.... puking again. So we went back to the bathroom and threw more stuff in the washer. Thankfully, by this time, reinforcements were here! Dad loaded both kids up and I laid on the couch to catch a few zzz's before work. I did not get enough sleep and ended up calling in and getting to rest and be home with Chris. Monday morning, Dad called and Kari was puking and sick. They ended up taking her to the ER. They gave her some meds and sent her home. Ashlee got home Monday eve and around 7pm she called and she was sick and puking. This morning I woke up and felt my stomach churning. I have been sick all day and felt like I threw all my insides up! Praise God I am much much better now, just a little weak. Mom called this eve and said now Dad has it.....I hope Chris doesn't get it. I can't stand being sick. This has been a very unexpected New Year for sure. I hope it's not a sign of what this year will be like.................:)
