I've got to get back to Moving-It
Well here I am in August of "10" and I haven't blogged in what? . . . two months?!?! I wish I could say that I've lost 20 lbs. or 10 lbs. or even 5 lbs. Sad as it is to say, I have only lost a whopping 2 pounds!!!! Yay me!! :( To be honest I have refused to walk or do anything outside. Its been too hot! I was doing great with my exercise equipment as long as it was in the middle of my living room floor. Chris decided he needed room to walk in our house without laying, crawling on, or stooping under my equipment. As soon as it got folded up and put in another room that was the end of that!
The good news is that my wonderful SIL convinced me to walk 3 1/2 miles on Monday night. I am proud to say that we also walked 3 miles last night. I wore my shape-ups both times and I felt it too! My poor muscles got a genuine work out. We should be able to resume walking now that its going to be (hopefully) cooling down. Its time to Move-It again!
In other news, I am going back to school. I will be starting Monday, Aug. 16th. I am very nervous, and excited about it. I've decided on Human Services as my Major. I would like to be either a social worker or a substance abuse counselor. Its a two year program so It will take awhile. All prayers are welcome!
On a funny note, my SIL brought Kari and Malachi a whole bag of mini-marshmallows to munch on while we walked. It was just like in the Hansel and Gretal story. They left a trail of neon min-marshmallows along the walk. There was maybe an inch left of the whole bag!!!
Oh! And lets not forget the whole "truth of God" thing! Kari is very good at making up stories. She told us a winner about her little friend, (she told me later that her name was Myrtle. . .lol) Myrtle was in Kari's pool at Kari's house and she drowned and drowned. Kari said "and it was BAD, BAD, BAD!!!" Then she said "And that's the truth of God!" Where does the kids get this stuff?! Anytime shes around, it'll never be boring.
I'm gonna wrap this up now. Did I make up for two month's time Ash? I hope everyone has a blessed day!
