Birthday Boy

Malachi is having a birthday soon. I can't believe this precious boy is turning 6!!! Where does the time go? You can honestly blink a few times and 10yrs has passed like it was nothing... :O

Malachi

Since these sweetums live so far away, and we can never get any plans formulated to get together, we decided to have a little party while they were here for a few days. Yes....it was rushed. Yes....it was crazy....but we made the best of it and had a cute party and lots of fun!

Last min decorating turned out rather cute!

Party Tiiiiiiiime!!! :)

He was surprised and loved it!

Very loud, but super fun little peeps! ;)

Memaw joined in the noise.

Already cell phone savvy...

Kari and Jackson helping him blow the candles out.

He loved his fishing gear!

And his CD player

Uncle Mike just gave him a little paper...he seemed to be just fine with that. $$$ :)

Kari was thrilled to get some gifts also.

These smiles are too precious!

I'm so glad for everyone that came and joined in our fun! Thanks for pitching in and helping with the decorations, food, cake and gifts. Those that couldn't make it, I hope you enjoy the pics and please know that you were missed by us all.

Luv!

Weekend Getaway

I just got home from a sweet little getaway to Myrtle Beach, SC. It was the perfect refresher. Getting away from school and work is nice on its own , but it is extra special to get to enjoy fun times with my family.

Morning walks for these two ladies was rare. You would think they were used to Mexico or
Hawaii weather.  I mean really gals, the water was a warm 40 degrees.

They were trying so hard to enjoy the beach. ;)

I enjoyed my walks on the beach, the seashell hunt, and the sea gulls so much!

Hungry Seagulls

We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs immensely, but more than anything we loved finding new places and eating good food. Didn't we Sharon?

That's what a good vacation consist of though. I'm so thankful for this time we had together. :)
