Better [is] a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. ~ Proverbs 15:17 ~ I want my home to be filled with lots of Jesus, love, and good foodies!

**~A Wonderful Day~**
We had a great time at the park then went to McDee's for ice cream cones. I just love their 49 cent cones! To make a long story short the kids were wore out and getting whiney so we took them back to Gammy's. lol!
Today was a jail Friday, but it was a special one. We had our first baptismal. We took a water tank and went into the courtyard (as they call it) its more like a concrete room with metal wires on top. At least they can see the sky. So anyway we filled the tank up with warm water and baptised 8 women. It was wonderful. God has really helped some of those ladies. This has a been a wonderful day! I hope tomorrow is just as good.
Have a great weekend!
God is great and greatly to be praised!!!!!

6th Anniversary!
I hope everyone has a great week!
Ok.... for the story behind the pic on my last post. Last weekend we went to Lexington for a neighborhood yard sale. When we got hungry we decided to try something new. We saw a place called Sal's and tried it. It was a very elegant restaurant. If it hadn't been lunch time, we may have stuck out in our yardsaling clothes. When we walked in the tables were pre-set with fine china and linen napkins. Super awesome!
One of the best parts was when I ordered Chris and I a salad. When the waiter delivered it Chris looked at it and said "Where's the salad at?"
Here's a pic of the *salad*.
The food was delish!!! Every time they brought a new dish out, mom and I got our phones out and started snapping photos. LOL!!!
The steak, potatoes, mushrooms, salad and bread were all sooooo good. But the best was dessert. A yummy HUGE chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and Carmelo and hot fudge. Lovely!!!
All in all it was a wonderful meal and I can't wait to go back!

School Days!
MY OH MY! My life has changed drastically since I began school this semester. I have to say that most of the time I really enjoy it. But the other times, when I'm up until 5am doing my homework and writing my article reviews, I shake my head and wonder why?!?! Then I go to work and I remember. Its well worth it! LOL!!! I really enjoy my classes and who~would~a~thought~it, I'm learning all kinds of new stuff. I always told Chris I knew it all, however, I'm realizing that I have ALOT to learn.
Chris is handling all this change very good. Used to I could count on one hand the times he went to bed without me. I feel like the past three weeks he's had to every night. I'm also lacking in my exercising. I think this is hurting Ashlee's feelings more than mine tho. :) One thing I do miss is seeing the kids. I used to go to work and when I got off I would go to moms and play with the kids till Ashlee got off work. Then I'd go home fix supper (or Ash would) and then we'd walk 3-5 miles. Get up the next day and do it all again. Now I feel like I'm always running here and there. If not for that "sweet hour of prayer" (as Dad preached) I would go crazy!!! Well, its late and I need to go to bed so I can function in the morning. I have math class at 8am. I need to be sharp! Oh yea, I've lost 3lbs. That puts my total to 60lbs.!!!!! I think its just the stress though. But, I'll take what I can get!

I've got to get back to Moving-It
The good news is that my wonderful SIL convinced me to walk 3 1/2 miles on Monday night. I am proud to say that we also walked 3 miles last night. I wore my shape-ups both times and I felt it too! My poor muscles got a genuine work out. We should be able to resume walking now that its going to be (hopefully) cooling down. Its time to Move-It again!
In other news, I am going back to school. I will be starting Monday, Aug. 16th. I am very nervous, and excited about it. I've decided on Human Services as my Major. I would like to be either a social worker or a substance abuse counselor. Its a two year program so It will take awhile. All prayers are welcome!
On a funny note, my SIL brought Kari and Malachi a whole bag of mini-marshmallows to munch on while we walked. It was just like in the Hansel and Gretal story. They left a trail of neon min-marshmallows along the walk. There was maybe an inch left of the whole bag!!!
Oh! And lets not forget the whole "truth of God" thing! Kari is very good at making up stories. She told us a winner about her little friend, (she told me later that her name was Myrtle. . .lol) Myrtle was in Kari's pool at Kari's house and she drowned and drowned. Kari said "and it was BAD, BAD, BAD!!!" Then she said "And that's the truth of God!" Where does the kids get this stuff?! Anytime shes around, it'll never be boring.
I'm gonna wrap this up now. Did I make up for two month's time Ash? I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Well we had a good time in TN. We ate lots of food and shopped and played. The guys were all up for go-carts. I rode once. Crystal and I rode bumper-boats. We were soaked. The mirror maze was a hoot. Not as scary the second time as the first. Lol! (another story for another time)
We ate at Ihop, Noway Josea, Marble slab creamery and candy and goodies other places. Justin also grilled us steakes and we had salad and rolls. It was sooo good. That's why I just knew I'd gain this week.
A big hit at our cabin was Ralphy. A racoon that lived behind the hottub. Justin had him eatn doritos out of his hand. It was so funny. Ralphy would come to the door and just sit there waiting for food. He would of came in the cabin in a heartbeat. I'll confess I was scared silly of him.
